ToadWorks Li'l Leo MKII is an overdrive effect pedal that emulates the crisp, clear overdrive of yesteryear. Our goal was to find that delicate line between smooth distortion and crunchy noise that you get from a black face amp on 11 - loud & proud, perfectly smooth break up with just the right amount of power and punch. Li'l Leo has been tested and used with a wide range of amplifiers, including tube, solid state and hybrid. If a true blue, classic American overdrive is what you desire, Li'l Leo has your name written all over it.
This pedal nails the ballsy, aggressive overdrive that defined the birth of rock & roll, yet remains transparent enough that your unique guitar sound shines through. Leo would have been proud. So will you.

Great sounding very easy to use Fender Blackface in a box! I'm blown away at how this can comp the Fender Sound...it sounds like a ol Blackface cooking. 3 controls - Gain , Tone, and Volume! Really simply to get a great tone out of and it works as a OD just as well.

Running this into a Plexi Clone and it can get fenderish on me thanks to this little box. Gets noisy when dimed just like an amp. Perfect, it can get all the cool fender sounds clean or mean. I use my Tube King behind it and GET A CRUNCH LEAD TONE. Very good for Blues and rock...get that southern rock sound or Hendrix clean stuff! It works well with modulations and it will be on my board from now on!
