The anniversary Hot Drive’n Boost MK3, featuring a complete new overdrive design that gives a even more authentic “tube” simulating overdrive than the original HDB, which is know to be one of the best. The new HDB MK3 sound like a tweaked up quality tube amp, and on contrary nearly every other overdrive pedal does it not change the original tone, has no midrange pronouncement, no low end cut of, no high end cut of, all that gives a tone of a clear brilliant tube drive of it’s own.

With the BOOST feature the Hot Drive'n Boost MK3 is a "TWO IN ONE" pedal. That allows you to get that extra "kick" (up to 20db) for solos to really stand out.
The Hot Drive'n Boost MK3 has a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply. This enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom.
The low output impedance insures a lo noise connection, and gives improved working conditions for the guitar amp.

I just love this pedal. It has the best tube-like overdrive I have ever heard from a pedal - and I have tried an awful lot during the years. I have also tried various tube-pedals but still I prefer the warmth of the Hot Drive n Boost. In my opinion this pedal is very versatile. You can easy dial up both a Tube Screamer-like sound and the more heavy stuff. I use both singlecoil and humbucker-guitars, and tube and non-tube amps. And it works great with them all. I also loves the Boost-function. In regard to transparancy, its just excellent. It don't color you tone at all. It has a very click-free by-pass and is free of noise. I guess it could be because of the built in power supply. And the combination of the boost and the drive makes your amp go crazy.Sound Quality: 10This pedal brings out the amps natural sounds, nice harmonics when you let the notes hang, defined and fat, from low gain settings to middle settings are very nice, like a super tubescreamer that is more open and with more natural mids, have no problem with blending in with this drive.Reliability: 10
I have used many CM pedals for many years and I never had a problem.
